Spades Brunch was created with the intention of fostering a community in the transplant city of Los Angeles. Its founder had hosted several events informally for years, but wanted to elevate their idea into a more formal organization including online event registration and merchandise sales. Once they presented me with a conceptual logo, I expanded that into an entire branding system complete with a new color system and logo suite. I then built out their website on Squarespace and set up an online shop. What once started as an informal gathering among friends eventually blossomed to a side business that would continue to grow in the future.
